Sadly, I did not much like Childes, and the women in the story are not fleshed out at all- his ex-wife is frankly unbelievable. At its heart it was a murder mystery wrapped into a supernatural horror and I liked the ending revelation, but what particularly stood out was the writing.I also liked the island setting where this game of cat and mouse unfolds in fact this book worked better as a psychological thriller for me and I think it could have done with loosing a lot of the supernatural psychic mumbo jumbo.
