This is hte perfect trip for someone with limited time off and still wants to turn on explorer mode and do something different. Its maze of narrow white streets is somehow even more interesting than most and they are VERY proud of their ham.

This old Mudéjar church was built on the remains of an ancient mosque and is definitely worth a look. Located south of the Natural Park of Sierra Nevada, the hotel is located in the typical landscapes of the Alpujarra. You will hike a volcano, visit mayan temples and witness a ceremony and take in beautiful colonial Antigua. Just across the road, you can check out the adorable little Ermita de al Virgen de las Angustias (Hermitage of the Virgin of the Sorrows).Capileira is the highest of the three white villages of the Poqueira gorge and at 1,450m (higher than Ben Nevis – 1,345m) is the perfect base for high altitude runs and trails into the high peaks of the Sierra Nevada. For a less formal taste of Lanjaron water, there are over a dozen fountains spread throughout the village, most of which feature a quote or poem from famous Andalusian poet, Federico Garcia Lorca.
