myON News, powered by News-o-Matic, delivers age-appropriate digital news articles for students, reporting on timely topics and current events. You can see the author, the audio length, the ATOS book level, the AR quiz number and the copyright date. Students and parents can print a profile report to see a visual snapshot of their personalised reading activity. You will also see many categories of recommended books, including books in your ZPD (your reading range), top picks, special collections, books popular with students in your year and books about the topics you chose as interesting to you. myON by Renaissance is a student-centred, personalised literacy platform that offers every student unlimited access to an enhanced digital library. Combined with a suite of literacy and homework tools, it’s an incredible standalone product as well as working in harmony with Star Reading and Accelerated Reader. A dashboard shows students goals and how many minutes they have read this week and month, how many books they have finished, and how many pages they have read. In just two days, my class alone have read over 320 books and spent upwards of 47 hours of reading combined! Renaissance Home Connect provides real-time access to your child’s Renaissance reading or maths practice results.Five daily news articles, written by professional journalists and reviewed by a child psychologist for age-appropriateness, are delivered 52 weeks a year. Using the app, students can link their account to their school, and then read any book even when an internet connection isn’t available. Articles incorporate engaging multimedia – videos, slideshows and photo galleries – to help students better understand the news.

If your school has turned on CEFR levels, you can also choose to see books for the levels A1, A2, B1, or B2. myON was only launched 48 hours ago and already we can see the impact – particularly on our boys and disadvantaged pupils. For Chrome Books: Running the current Chrome OS, or last two versions and the current version of Chrome or the last two versions. You can also choose to find books that are fiction or nonfiction, books with certain book or reading levels, books for your year group or types of stories.Combined with a suite of close reading tools and embedded supports, myON Reader fosters student engagement and achievement. Articles include: engaging multimedia – video, slideshows and photo galleries – to help students better understand the news.

For any questions on a child’s usage of any of our solutions, we strongly suggest parents contact their school. The book shown will change after a few seconds, but you can also use the arrows to see the next or last book. Books in the student's recommended library are based on the student's level of interest in the eleven categories. Subjects cover everything from space science and endangered species to football and fashion, engaging even the most reluctant reader.
