I wasn't expecting the supernatural element, but it was a refreshing change of pace from the typical fare in this genre. The production team and the sisters used vintage microphones and classic recording techniques, down to the same type of tape they would have used fifty years earlier.

Before I get to some of my concerns and some ideas for how we can improve secret sister programs, let’s start by looking at what is a secret sister program and what’s its purpose. Though we don't see that much of him one of the best characters for me was Seth, a sort of very unusual but effective psychiatrist. The author did a nice job creating interesting characters that felt meaningful to me as a reader, although I did find myself a bit confused about Roxanne and her ultimate fate in the story.Shortly after the sisters began writing for this album, both of their grandmothers passed away within a week of one other. Colleen is five years older than Ella and recently discovered that she was not the lady who raised her daughter.

And, when Roxanne finds herself believing that she has taken on the identity of someone close to her, can she convince her friends that this is more than another bipolar hallucination? He's a strong believer of the world where we don't know all the answers, the one where just because science says its not possible that it can't happen isn't true. Two very different lives, with very different backgrounds and experiences collide painfully and threaten to ruin the seedling of a relationship that needs far more nurturing and understanding. Colleen, on the other hand, is trying to pick the pieces of her life together after leaving her abusive husband and trying to locate her birth father when she accepts Ella's invitation.After Colleen disappears without notice Ellen cannot hell but wonder if she should have started looking for Colleen. It asks the question of what would you do if you had a second chance, but more to the point, explores the consequences of that chance and how it affects everyone around you.

Meanwhile, if you apply it to gathering groups that already know each other, the benefits can be getting to know each other better after the exchange gift. The “Secret Sister Gift Exchange” involves some variation on a message asking people to take part as a way of spreading joy. However, with all the good points this book had, my emotional side isn’t as quite taken with the book as I should be.
