The curved shape and flexible backpanel of the Osprey Talon 22 give it a very nice fit against your back. I can see no disadvantage to this, while the obvious plus points are that it leaves your bag hole-free, and that the reservoir is easier to reach. It's perfectly at home thrashing around the mountains, travelling across the world or lugging your stuff around on the daily commute.

That being said, plenty of other brands have long had bluesign approved rucksacks in their range, and perhaps it should be asked why it's taken a backpack giant like Osprey this long to catch up. The Deuter Speed Lite 24 is one of the Talon’s closest competitors, with a similar capacity, feature set, and overall design. If I'm stowing poles then it's either for the long term, or it's because I'm doing a short section of scrambling and need my hands free; either way the place for the poles is safely out of injury range on the side of the pack. By means of simple-but-strong velcro, the shoulder harness can be raised or lowered with ease to accommodate users of different height.

Aimed at those looking for a minimalist yet durable pack for mountain and alpine trips, the Core 35 prioritises functionality over unnecessary features. All told, the Talon offers a customizable fit, which is especially impressive given its weight-focused build. The base is made from an even tougher 420D recycled nylon, providing additional abrasion-resistance in this high-wear area. Every traveler knows that having a good daypack along on your backpacking adventure is VERY important. If the back length of the pack is correct the shoulder straps will be flush to your shoulders whilst the hipbelt sits in place comfortably.

Without resorting to deep spongy padding, this feels really comfortable, and it makes for a very stable and well-balanced load when the hipbelt is fastened. I mean, it’s not a proper Daylite Plus review if we don’t look at what else is available and compare and contrast. Speaking of weight, another compliment our team gave on the pack as that the weight distribution was also great which really added to the carry comfort of the back. The Osprey Daylite Plus reflects the same breathability and ventilation features as the rest of Osprey’s full-size backpack line.The Osprey Talon 22 is arguably a better all round backpack, though for me I do not categorize them the same way. That said, if you are you wanting to pack gym shoes in there, or fill it witg groceries, the capacity may not be quite enough.

Next, adjust the shoulder straps, pull them until they start to become snug, but ensure that they are not too tight as to lift the pack off your hips.Sometimes this pack can make you feel like you’re at school again, struggling with the zipper on your coat. We all know we need a good daypack, but choosing the right one can be seriously overwhelming with so much choice out there. stretchy mesh side, 1 interior padded laptop sleeve, 1 back zippered with internal mesh dividers and key clip, 1 back expandable waterbottle, 1 back zippered. We’ve found that it frequently gets jammed on the lip that covers the zip, and it’s infuriatingly hard to undo! The zipped pockets on each side of the hipbelt allow quick and easy access to smaller items such as phone, snacks and GPS.
