About this deal

Very well illustrated with amazing storyline about a shy and introverted koala eventually becoming happier and more adventurous at the end of the story after a small accident.

With themes of growth mindset and friendship, this The Koala that Could picture book by Rachel Bright is a favorite in 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade classrooms. Her work aims to capture a free way of thinking - one which makes you feel anything is possible, a feeling all too easily lost with the end of childhood.Perhaps best for children a little older than 2 but like other books for children of this age, I am sure it will be read at bedtime many many times. The next morning, a woodpecker began pecking the tree until the branch, which Kevin still clung too, fell to the ground. We have taken some of the lovely vocabulary used in the book to improve the understanding of your children of those words. Deliveries to destinations outside Australia are made by DHL courier, and cannot be made to post office boxes. Your KS1 class will look at simple meanings of the words used and then try to place the words into the context of the story.

Kevin is scared because he sees danger in everything and can’t bring himself to climb down from the safety of his tree. And, as Kevin discovers, if you step outside your comfort zone and try new things, you might just surprise yourself! We pay respect to the Elders past, present and emerging, and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today. The considerable talents of Rachel Bright and Jim Field have been perfectly combined to create a really magnificent picture book.A cute little picture book about Kevin the Koala who lacks a little bit of confidence and self esteem.
