It’s safe to say that the Vivo X90 Pro alleviates my battery anxiety, with the potential to last a full two days if you’re a little more conservative with your use than I am. Sure, this isn't a phone you're going to use one-handed, but it is lighter than its immediate rivals, and feels great in-hand. The secondary 50MP lens is good enough, but I would have liked more magnification; as it stands, it only goes up to 2x. The Vivo X90 Pro boasts Android 13 which is great, but it comes with Vivo’s rather horribly named FunTouch OS.It’s admittedly a small thing that most users will overlook within days of use, but I’d be lying if I said I wouldn’t prefer a nice flat display.

We use industry-standard tests to compare features properly and we use the phone as our main device over the review period. I haven't tested Vivo's wireless charging system yet, but the 120W FlashCharge tech is a known quantity, and it charges to 50% in under 10 minutes, with a full charge taking just over 25 minutes.I liked what MediaTek did last year with the Dimensity 9000 and was keen to take a look at this year's offering. That’s with battery-hungry features including the high refresh rate, maximum resolution and always-on display all enabled, by the way. The 256GB storage allowance is also generous, though it’s perhaps a shame that there’s no option to upgrade this further – or expand it with a microSD card. The palm rejection tech of the curved display is top notch at least, which does make it an easier pill to swallow. The ultrawide is the weakest of the three rear lenses, with a drop in detail, a flatter colour palette, and diminished lowlight performance.
