About this deal

Just note that the mouse’s software is hardly reliable in keeping track—one day I turned the mouse on to be told the XM2we had 25% juice remaining when it apparently had just 10% at the end of the previous night. Both the XM2w and its dongle use an STM32 Dual-Core MCU that incorporates a 64MHz ARM Cortex-M4 Core which handles the main tasks of the mouse and an additional 32Mhz ARM Cortex-M0 Core which exclusively manages the wireless data transmissions, ensuring high performance and advanced power-saving capabilities in all wireless modes.

Combined with the PixArt PAW3370 sensor running in corded mode, it guarantees optimal gaming performance. The outer shape remained identical to the claw grip shape that made the XM1 famous, but on the inside, every single aspect was re-designed.

The XM2w Wireless Gaming Mouse is the next generation of our acclaimed XM1r, identical in shape, but with lots of internal improvements for less weight and more consistency. After putting the hours in and testing the mouse, what we found surprised us in a way that the likes of Glorious and Vaxee wished they could muster. Improving on the XM1, this gaming mouse is lighter and equipped with the latest innovative technology, whilst still retaining the features we love about the original. Thanks to a hybrid design bottom shell, it's possible to easily install either large or small skates with the smaller skates fitted by default. coming in at just 63g, this is one of the lightest wireless mice that we’ve ever tested, and given all of the limitations that usually come with that, we were expecting the mouse to fall short in some areas.

Each of the side buttons also gets that premium treatment, with a very short throw which makes each tap satisfying. The same went for AWP’ing in CS:GO, the mouse just allowed us to perform incredibly well, owing to the XM2we’s lightweight and excellent sensor. Further facilitating high performance, the Endgame Gear XM2we Gaming Mouse utilises premium Kailh switches across all of its buttons. Out of the box, this mouse is installed with the larger skates, but you can easily make the switch if you prefer the smaller style. It might not boast the most advanced sensors, or be flush with RGB lights, but it really doesn’t need it. There’s a companion app to record mouse macros, create profiles and check battery life, but it lacks a bit of polish. The shell is outfitted with a matte finish that will likely prove divisive, the smooth touch of the mouse could cause it to be slippery, but once your hands heat up its surface, it becomes grippier. The first time you open it, for example, you’re asked if you want it to load every time you start Windows.

The OP1we, a new smaller mouse shape from Endgame Gear, serves as an addition to the budget-friendly 'wireless essential' lineup. Additionally, the XM2we’s main competitor, the Lamzu Atlantis, is around 10 grams lighter, while this does make a difference with how you play, the mouse is still incredibly light, and we fell a little bit in love with it throughout the duration of our testing process. It never really breaks out and offers anything particularly exciting, but perhaps you don’t need it to do that.
