About this deal

While climbing you will not always move in the most comfortable positions. Even then, the Gomtaro will not let you down. The scabbard is designed in such a way so that it will hold the saw in all positions, but when needed you can pull the saw out with just one hand. Complete your Gomtaro with the available leg straps and you will always have the saw at arm’s length. Silky Saws are traditional Japanese pruning saws and as such are designed to cut on the pull stroke. The blade will be under tension on the cutting stroke and will not be able to bow.

The scabbard is designed so that the saw can't fall out of it, but can still be withdrawn with just one hand when needed. With the available leg straps, you can strap the Gomtaro Root to your lower leg to always have the saw at arms length. White Glove Delivery is available on many lawnmowers & other highlighted products and is offered free to customers within a 30-mile radius of our showroom. Learn more. Non-set tooth design - taper ground blade designed to reduce resistance, giving a smoother, easier and faster cutting performance The Gomtaro pruning saw is an essential piece of your equipment and a user’s first choice for formative pruning during the early years of a tree’s growth. The straight blade gives an even cleaner and more precise cut than a curved blade. The smooth tree cut that this pull saw leaves behind will easily be overgrown. The tree will be grateful!

The Gomtaro with large teeth is suited for fresh wood and available in six blade lengths: 180 – 210 – 240 – 270 – 300 and 330 mm. The fine teeth is suited for seasoned wood and available in four blade lengths: 240 – 270 – 300 and 330 mm. Blades with similar lengths are interchangeable, creating one multipurpose saw. Taper-Ground Design: The taper-ground blade reduces friction for smoother cutting without the need for set. The manufacturing process also uses the technique of high-frequency electro-impulse hardening during which the teeth are heated and hardened. Importantly, only the teeth are hardened, not the rest of the blade. Thus the blade retains its original flexibility whilst the teeth have a life which is up to 3 times longer than that on standard saws. The physical exercise of tree climbing demands a saw that eases the pruning. Rightly so, professionals choose Silky as their hand saw. Sawing with the Gomtaro requires a minimum effort and goes so smoothly that firing up a chainsaw is unnecessary. Moreover, you now have a compact replacement at hand for when a chainsaw is not available or for when you can only use one hand. The rubber casted handle lays comfortably in your hand and absorbs vibrations. You will realize that your lower arm and the saw are perfectly balanced out.

Looking for a new Silky (other makes are available) and can't decide between the Zubat and Gomtaro. All saws from the Gomtaro series come with a lightweight, polypropylene scabbard with detachable belt holder. The scabbard is incorporated with two rollers to prevent the sharp teeth damaging the case. The bottom part is equipped with a hole that drains water and saw dust. Zubat looks to give more cutting power due to curved blade and slightly better access in between close branches.Gomtaro blades cannot be re-sharpened due to the use of electro-impulse hardening in the manufacturing process. Teeth Configuration: Featuring 7 teeth per inch (8 teeth per 30mm), it's suitable for various cutting tasks.

Generally you should experience fewer vibrations and use less effort enabling longer work and improved productivity.Precision-Ground Teeth: Razor-sharp teeth with four cutting angles ensure efficient and precise cuts.
