About this deal

There hasn’t been a noticeable drop in sound quality but I fear it could develop into a problem soon in the future.

tell me why there is such a difference between a Denon Dl103 and an AT Vm95C, both of which have the same conical stylus. I didn’t find the VM95ml shrill or bright but I did change the capacitance on my preamp every time I used it. Please send us your details along with details of the item(s) you'd like to trade in and we'll come back to you within 2 working days (but usually a little sooner) with a quote. The MP-110 is a great upgrade option for a number of turntables with great results with the Rega Planar 1, Planar 2 and the Project debut carbon range. The accuracy of the MP stylus keeps all the details of the music separate so each detail can be heard clearly. There are several actions that could trigger this block including submitting a certain word or phrase, a SQL command or malformed data. I decided to purchase the Technics 52mm alignment tool to see if setting it up that way would rectify the issue but it did not.

But its simple bonded elliptical stylus doesn’t give as much fine detail or the same guarantees of no inner groove distortion (igd) as the VM95ml. Please include what you were doing when this page came up and the Cloudflare Ray ID found at the bottom of this page. Remove the headshell (The short wires in the headshell really shouldn't affect the reading/total capacitance value enough to do/affect anything. High output is assured by using a powerful samarium cobalt magnet, making any standard MM phono input suitable for use with the Nagaoka MP110. To answer this request we have designed the SMARTractor - a direct off-spring of our UNI-Protractor.

Grados fit that bill and I’ve had a Grado Prestige Silver installed on the Thorens for years, only replacing the stylus. However, once I digitized some records and compared to the old rips I made, I could definitely tell the high end was lacking and sounds subpar to the old recordings. Imaging specificity was very good with proper side to side and great height clues in recordings that had that information .

With over 70 years in the industry, Nagaoka has become renowned for its superior attention to detail and craftsmanship, all the while retaining the design philosophy of putting the listener as close to the performance as possible. Could I simply achieve increasing the capacitance by adding an RCA extension cable to the ends of my TT phono leads? the Nagaoka MP-110, floats like a butterfly, stings like a bee~Muhammad Ali, has risen to the occasion, making itself right at home in my new and, shall we say, better system.

i guess if you cant hear past 10k than its warm sounding compared to the 440mla (which it used to compared with in videos quite a bit years ago) which starts rising pretty early. Happy to recommend the Nagaoka MP110 for standard Techncis headshell, using standard Techncis wires, on a standard Technics arm. This can give the illusion of a tame treble, the OM-10 also had treble range up to 23K and possibly poor resonance frequency for my then budget Kenwood turntable (from the mid 80's with a low mass arm) and I think it was not as good a match, add in a BPC grade receiver and some early Sansui speakers that could not produce much bass beyond 40Hz or so and was not very well detailed caused severe listening fatigue for records and for a few years barely played albums because of that. OP didn't give a lot of background info, and I gave my "from the hip" opinion like everyone else to start with. The Ortofon, or its cheaper “red” variant is often factory fitted to mid range turntables, or recommended as a first upgrade.
