I'm not sure who came up with the idea for these things or even what they are supposed to do but it's keeping a child very happily entertained so for that alone it's worth it. Your Little Live Butterfly 'feeds' and gets energy from the included flower base, the more you feed your pet the happier she becomes. I know odd, but we went to butterfly world with the school when I was little and they kept flying at me!
