Add in the ridiculous number of typos, poor grammar and phrases that are really not right for the time period and I’m left wondering why I bothered to finish it. Sometimes I get so immersed in the story that I forget everything and time passes so swiftly that, when I do stop, I can’t believe two or three hours have passed.
What is going on, It is known that Pirates use the waters, but is Rockwood castle hiding deep dark secrets? To me the characters were like something out of a Jane Eyre or Daphne Du Maurier novel, and I could often see myself imagining Judy Dench as Lady Pentelow, and Keira Knightly as Rosalind…the jury is still out in my mind as to who would play Piers! Fate soon intervenes and Kitty finds herself working as a skivvy for Sir Desmond and Lady Arabella Mableton in Mayfair. She isn't used to being mistress and is grateful for the help of her faithful servants who assist her in both etiquette and expectations. But having said that, this one does have a touch of Lindsey Hutchinson to it which will enthrall those fans, I'm sure.
This author is amazing I've read every book she has written im so glad my friend told me about her this one was quite lovely and romantic.
