About this deal

While I do love my chocolate from time to time, that chocolate egg is just a little too realistic looking. There are lots of other goodies that are similar but I don’t think they could possibly be as good as these would be. i finally was able to get my hands on the minis this weekend for the first time…thank you very much hubby.

Cadbury is a master of creating hype around its NPD – you only need to look at the recent success of Caramilk and Twirl limited editions to appreciate this – and Twisted’s launch in May 2008 was no exception. If anyone remembers it, Creme Egg Twisted was actually a bar version of Cadbury Creme Egg that was brought out a few years go, and previous to that is was Dairy Milk with Creme Egg. Dom – i see what you mean but that still dosent change the fact that its really nothing new…as I said if this wasnt the only innovation we could expect from Cadbury this year I wouldnt be as disappointed. The campaign featured various vignettes of a Creme Egg being destroyed by household implements – such as a kitchen blender or hairdryer – only to mutate into an anthropomorphised Twisted bar, which shouted ‘Goo! It’s nice that you can break the bar into a few sections as you eat, so that you don’t really have to consume the whole thing in one shot, unlike a creme egg. Ingredients: Milk, sugar, cocoa butter, glucose syrup, glucose fructose syrup, whey powder, cocoa mass, vegetable fats, emulsifiers, humectant, colour, flavourings.

Because there’s no clear definition between the chunks, you get more of it than you did in the old Dairy Milk bar. However, in 2020 it was revealed that Creme Eggs don't just taste sweet – they're stuffed to the hilt with sugar. Turns out that packaging was very misleading because nothing could prepare me for the horror that was lurking inside. I bit in to find that the chocolate was thickest at the bottom, with a thinner (but still fairly thick) chocolate shell all around the top. Even though this bar is probably not going to be widely available – if at all – in the US this Easter season, I can’t resist mentioning it just because of the tradition of creme eggs around the holiday.
