The Nuvo TooT is a bridge instrument, ideally suited to young musicians who are looking to take the next musical step towards the flute. Similar in nature to the fife, Nuvo TooT has a slightly wider bore which allows the instrument to be a little shorter and brings the tone holes closer to the body - great for shorter arms! The new updated TooT now also has silicone key flaps with inserts which cover the holes needed for chromatic playing, these inserts can be removed once the student is ready for these notes.

Nuvo TooT details:

Flutes, like most woodwind instruments, are incredibly complex. The TooT overcomes fingering obstacles via four unique double holes, which makes it easier to play chromatically. The TooT is thus a perfect starter instrument to introduce the woodwind family, or perhaps for older players who played in childhood and now wish to revisit the flute or fife without spending a fortune. The Nuvo TooT is very similar to a fife, and therefore makes a great choice for students hoping to eventually progress to playing the flute. As well as a traditional “flute-style” lip plate, the TooT is also supplied with a FirstNote lip plate. This helps with sound production in the early stages of playing, whilst the student is learning correct posture and fingering. Available in a range of bright, fun colours. The TooT comes with its own durable carry case, fingering chart and the two interchangeable lip plates. It is also waterproof, being made from plastic and silicone. This means it can be washed in warm water to keep clean, making it a great choice for younger players or a classroom environment! The set includes the NUVO Firstnote lip plate which can be used in the early lessons while the student is learning posture, fingering and playing simple tunes. When ready, the Firstnote can be replaced by the regular lip plate which is also included. jSax The jSax, has been designed for players who are more specifically interested in progressing onto the saxophone. Again, like the DooD, the jSax is a single reed instrument helping to build a players sound production, posture and basic fingerings. The jSax is supplied with a carry case, a fingering chart, and 2 plastic reeds. You can also use cane reeds for a more traditional playing feel. Some soprano saxophone mouthpiece will also fit the jSax, which allows a stepped progression towards saxophone playing. Flute

The standard flute in C comes with a wide variety of options from the silver plated student models to flutes which are precious metal throughout. There is also the option of closed hole which the vast majority of student flutes are, or open hole which is more common in advanced models.

Eb clarinet reeds are also suitable for use with C-Lyons or Nuvo Clarineo plastic clarinets.

Plastic ‘Brass’ Instruments
