About this deal

To maintain a 120Hz output from PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X/S, the entire video signal chain and connected devices, such as the TV/Monitor and capture card need to be able to support 120Hz. The Elgato Chat Link is a simple adapter that allows you to capture all audio from your Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4 (PS4), or PlayStation 5 (PS5). Without Chat Link, you normally need to make compromises on what audio is captured for your audience to hear. In this example, a M.2 SSD is installed and the PCIe x4 slot has been disabled due to motherboard restrictions. 4K60 Pro will not work in the x4 slot. It can still be used in the available x8 and x16 slot. Elgato capture cards have HDMI pass-through. This means the capture card has an HDMI input port, and a HDMI output port. The source needs to be connected to the HDMI in port, and the TV/Monitor needs to be connected to the HDMI Out port. When using Cam Link 4Kor Game Capture HD60 S+in OBS Studio on macOS, the audio capture needs to be set manually. Audio is not captured from capture devices automatically like in OBS Studio for Windows.

B.If you’re using an Elgato Game Capture HD60 or Elgato Game Capture HD60 S, the analog audio gain could be too low. See the [Analog Gain Control] section in this article for more information on how to correct for this. Also note how the specification suggests it is a full-size PCIe 3.0 x16 slot, however it only supports up to x4 speed. Capturing high-quality HEVC 4K60 HDR video from Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One X, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 Pro. PCIe is a physical interface for connecting high speed devices such as graphics cards, network cards, storage adapters and capture device to a desktop PC.

This change will send party chat to your headset but also over the HDMI connection to your TV/Monitor and your Elgato capture card. You should hear everything normally in your headset when Chat Link is connected. If you don’t, reach out to our support team: https://help.elgato.com Some USB or Wireless headsets have ‘mobile’ or other wired options for use with a mobile phone. One headset that does this is the Sony PlayStation Wirelss Gold headset. A headset like this is compatible when using said cable that’s included.

Yes, regardless of which Elgato capture device you own, you'll be able to capture your PlayStation 5 gameplay on day one.PlayStation 5 features a HDCP toggle exactly like the PlayStation 4. Once HDCP is disabled capture will work. HDMI 2.0 cables are much more susceptible to signal degradation due to the much higher data rate. HDMI 2.0 cables over 6 feet are not recommended. This guide will walk through steps to take when your Elgato Capture Deviceis not capturing sound from a source as expected.

Next is the Recording tab, which is probably the most important tab out of the entire settings menu. Firstly, users can select where their gameplay saves on their PC through 'Library Location', as well as where screenshots are saved through 'Screenshot Location'. Next is the Video Encoder. I would recommend that users select whatever their graphics card is for their video encoder as it will do a much better job than the inbuilt software. Pro MK.2 does support HDR recording. Please see: Elgato Game Capture 4K60 Pro — Technical Specifications To record the full 120Hz signal into a 120fps video, other software such as OBS Studio must be used and configured to record at 120fps.

The PlayStation 4 will not output sound over HDMI if headphones are plugged into the PlayStation 4 controller. For PCIe connected capture devices such as the Elgato Game Capture HD60 Proand Elgato Game Capture 4K60 Pro MK.2follow the steps below. PCIe x16 slots are generally intended for use with Graphics Cards. PCIe 1x slots are generally for smaller add-in cards like Wifi Adapters, USB Adapters, or lower bandwidth capture devices such as HD60 Pro.

Some motherboard manufacturers will add more PCIe slots and M.2 slots than PCIe lanes are available. This means that when a M.2 SSD is being used, a PCIe slot may be disabled. Or in reverse, when a PCIe slot is used, the M.2 interface is disabled. The same can happen with SATA or eSATA ports. Make sure the PlayStation 4 is set to output Linear PCM. Next, if you have NVIDIA GPU, that is a 20 series you want to change your 'Encoder' to NVENC H.264 (new) as this will take the load off your CPU and put it on your GPU. Cables that are not properly connected to the source HDMI Output port or the capture card HDMI Input port could cause the capture card to not correctly acquire the signal. Disconnect the HDMI cables and reinsert them firmly. Dual-PC Setups: Game Capture 4K60 Pro MK.2 features an HDMI 2.0 input and output, and is thus capable of capturing and passing through high refresh rate signals such as 1080p240Hz and 1440p144Hz. This makes Game Capture 4K60 Pro MK.2 the ideal choice when using a two-PC streaming setup.
