About this deal

A wistful summer blossoms between two high-school boys finding themselves and each other through a shared love of movies in this moving, dramatic, two-volume BL romance series, perfect for fans of Seven Days, Given, or I Hear the Sunspot. It's not tragic, which is nice, and certainly not irreparable either, but it does force Wataru to more fully confront his own emotions and to realize that while Saeki may have said he didn't expect anything to come of his crush, Wataru himself now wants their relationship to change. Most purchases from business sellers are protected by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 which give you the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after the day you receive the item. I enjoyed the art; however, there were moments within the text where the text bubbles were slightly difficult to associate with characters.

It is, in fact, that emotion which guides his every move over the course of the story – the two met as children and Saeki nursed his feelings for the other boy until they met again in high school, something he never anticipated.Chiharu and Wataru captivated readers’ hearts in Nagisa Furuya’s English-language BL debut, My Summer of You. High-schooler Wataru Toda is a film buff and he’s delighted when – through a chance encounter – he discovers that Chiharu Saeki (in the same year) shares his obsession. I really did want to go today,” Saeki tells Wataru via smartphone and the ever-optimistic Wataru replies, “Let’s try again…once school starts. Although they are high school students, she handled the complicated nature of their feelings in a way that feels very realistic to high school love.

Although…some weeks earlier, he felt unsettled when Saeki told him calmly but straightforwardly that he likes him. Wataru says that Chiharu's confession doesn't bother him, and the boys continue throughout their summer, going to pilgrimages to see film spots from their favorite movies. It's a story that effectively combines the slice-of-life, fantasy, and underdog genres in a digestible package. In The Summer of You we follow Wataru Toda and “hot guy” Chiharu Saeki, who coincidentally is also a bit aloof and very outspokenly romantic towards Wataru. This is slice of life in the best sense of the word; there’s a wistful sadness pervading the whole text as the readers, alongside Wataru, come to realize how fleeting the pleasures of summer – and first love – can be.While the drama played out a little too perfectly in some areas, I really found this to be sweet and endearing. Wataru says that Chiharu's confession doesn't bother him, and the boys continue throughout their summer, going to pilgrimages to see film spots from their favourite movies. Shaw's impressive vocal range — from the imperious Claire to the timid Lily, makes this audiobook version the best way to enjoy I'm in Love with the Villainess. When it comes to BL, like other manga romances, love confessions between characters are hard-fought and usually happen as a part of the story’s climax towards its middle to end.

La ambientación está tan bien lograda que cada página te saca de tu sillón y te planta en cualquier ciudad costera con buen clima. They set off on their summer pilgrimage and the more time they spend together, the more Wataru realizes how much he enjoys being with Saeki.

Nagisa Furuya has a gift for drawing characters whose facial expressions and reactions tell us so much more than their words do (she’s especially good at eyes). The relation between crossdressing/mother wanting to have a daughter and later on turning out gay is rather icky and Freudian.

Knowing that in most of shounen ai the relationship is based on tension, this was refreshing where the characters listened to each other and openly stated that they were fine with just letting their feelings out. When Saeki doesn’t reply and merely tells him, “Thank you” Wataru doesn’t realize how profoundly what happens next will affect him. Frieren is still going strong continuing from last season, but The Dangers in My Heart is the one stealing the spotlight! We currently offer a fantastic range of approximately 300,000 books from rare 19th century antiquarian books, to childhood favourites to the latest bestsellers.

I just never managed to get into them - well now, that’s an interesting thing to say about one’s exes…. This book tells the story of two male high schoolers who share a the common hobby of watching movies. But the more time he spends with Chiharu, Wataru realises that he may not only be as unaffected by Chiharu's confession as he claimed to be, but those feelings may also be mutual. This is the only manga that made me cry like a baby, I'm writing this during my class and I'm crying just remembering how great it was. It included this cute box for 7FATES: Chakho, a cute tote, photo cards, a mirror, and a preview to Dark Moon: The Blood Altar and The Star Seekers!
